A leading independent day and boarding school in Dorset, known for its academic standards and strong community identity. BCS required a professionally sign-written bus that would not only transport students, but also act as a mobile representation of the school’s brand across the region.
Think Wraps is a specialist vehicle-wrapping and sign-writing company with extensive experience in commercial fleet branding, colour-change wraps, and bespoke printed graphics. Their team handles everything from design preparation to installation, ensuring a high-quality finish across cars, vans, minibuses, and larger commercial vehicles.
BCS approached Think Wraps to complete a full sign-writing project on one of their school buses. The goal was to create a visually striking, durable design that strengthened brand recognition while withstanding daily use.
Key priorities included:
Accurate colour matching, correct use of the school crest and typography, and alignment with established brand guidelines.
The bus needed to stand out in traffic and at school pick-up points, serving as a mobile advertisement for BCS while still appearing polished, modern, and trustworthy.
Materials and installation had to withstand constant outdoor exposure, regular cleaning cycles, and daily travel without peeling, fading, or distortion.
As the vehicle forms part of the school’s transport provision, the wrap needed to be planned, produced, and installed within a tight turnaround, ensuring the bus returned quickly to active service.
Since the vehicle would be viewed at distance and while moving, the design required bold graphics, clean lines, and clear text placement. This ensures quick recognition and supports brand visibility during peak traffic times.
Think Wraps prepared the BCS artwork for vehicle use, ensuring accurate colours, logo placement, and scaling across the bus. The team selected a suitable commercial-grade vinyl for durability and ease of maintenance, then printed and laminated the graphics in-house. The vehicle was brought into the wrapping bay, fully cleaned, and prepped before installation. The wrap was applied panel by panel to maintain alignment, visibility, and consistency with the school’s branding. The completed installation met the school’s requirements for a clear, professional, and long-lasting finish.
